Simple Start Carnivore Diet

Dr. Ken Berry, a family physician from Tennessee, introduces the Carnivore Diet as a simple, meat-based eating plan that focuses exclusively on animal products, such as fatty meats, fish, eggs, and certain dairy items, while completely eliminating plant-based foods like grains, sugars, and vegetables. 

He presents it as a "Proper Human Diet" (PHD), arguing that it aligns with ancestral eating habits and can help address modern health issues like obesity, diabetes, and inflammation. 

Based on his clinical experience and personal experimentation, Dr. Berry claims that this diet can lead to significant health benefits, including weight loss, improved mental clarity, and reduced chronic disease symptoms.

He emphasizes that the diet is nutrient-dense, particularly through consuming fatty cuts of meat and organ meats, which he says provide all necessary vitamins and minerals, even challenging common concerns like vitamin C deficiency. 

Dr. Berry suggests starting with a 30 to 90-day commitment, eating to satiety without calorie counting, and focusing on one to three meals a day without snacking. 

He also recommends using resources such as books like "Lies My Doctor Told Me."

In his introductions, Dr. Berry often debunks myths about meat consumption, such as fears of red meat causing cancer or heart disease, and encourages people to trust their bodies over conventional dietary guidelines. 

He shares his own journey, noting how switching to carnivore improved his health after years of following standard medical advice. 

His approach is straightforward, encouraging people to try the diet for themselves to see the potential benefits, while acknowledging it might not be for everyone but could be transformative for those struggling with chronic conditions.
